How do I know your real (they ask)
Questions go unanswered?

When it seems like there is no justice

I lift up my heart to him and

I know my God lives and there is so much more to share
Knowing him is my purpose
seeking to know his heart

How do I know he is real you ask?

I know he is real because he has given me eternal life

The kids are hopping

PS>written after seeing the movie the blind side...it moved me, inspired me, broke me and reminded me of the vision and love for Jesus. It also stirred up within me a hatred for evil and injustice. He spoke to me that he will save and change people. That he is a just God. When everything is failing and evil, God is good and is fighting and raising up a people to take back EVERYTHING that the enemy has stolen..

Bible (Read Joshua 7 ...Achan’s Sin)- Talking about relying on our own strength
Joshua 7:1
But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.
I find it interesting that although Achan is the one that took the spoils the bible says the Israelites acted unfaithfully. Achan’s sin did not just bring destruction in his life but in the life of his family and the whole of Israel. When one sins it doesn’t just affect the one that committed the sin… many are affected and suffer the consequences.

1. When we are relying on our own strength we will be defeated in battle.
And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.

This battle that they were going to fight was very easy for them, so they thought. They did not involve everyone because they thought that they could fight and win with no problem
It is so easy to have gone through such a great victory (Jericho), or see God do something miraculous in our lives and right after move in our own strength as if we have something to do with the victories.
Never can any gift knowledge, skill talent or exp. that we have be useful for the Kingdom unless God puts his touch on it and anoints it, otherwise it will be dead works, fall to the ground and be burned in the fire. The Israelites sadly became dependent on their own strength and the past victories that God had given them. The evidence of that they were moving in their own strength is they did not inquire of the Lord. They relied on what they saw rather than hearing from the Lord.
Had they done this God would have told them to not fight because there was sin in the camp. Had they done this they would have been spared the defeat, discouragement and death, as well as the confusion, humiliation and shame that came upon them and the testimony of God in their lives. But because it looked easy they thought they didn’t need to ask God for help. We can’t just seek the Lord when there is a big Jericho or Red Sea in front of us. We are to be a people that seek God and give him priority in our lives, over every decision in every season. This will save us time, defeat, and strength.
(vs 4, routed Israel) defeated battle:Israelites were not on guard because they became confident in themselves. Thinking that their own strength was enough. We do not fight against flesh!!! We are no match for the devil and attacks in our own strength. This walk is a supernatural walk and we are to walk in the strength and power of God to be victorious and more than conquerors. When we walk in the strength of God the word says NO weapon formed against us will prosper. God is the only one that is stronger than our enemies.

The Israelites were given a word from God that he would give them the land with milk and honey. That he would conquer there enemies and they would be given victory. When God gives you a promise we are not to take into our own hands to fulfill that promise. No matter how long it takes for the promise to come, it will come, it will not tarry. The bible says we are to be a people of faith. The just shall live by faith! Another example of a man who moved in his own strength was Abraham… the father of faith.
God said to Abraham after he had tried to get the promises of God in his own way..

What incredible promises the Lord had given him but there is something in every promise that God wanted to make clear to Abraham so he would stop doing things himself….one thing that each promise had was God saying “I will”…He wanted Abraham to know you don’t have to work for it or try to make it happen and you know what… you cant!!! Look at the mess you made trying to do it yourself. God will let you mess up just to get your attention and show you how it has to be done….only through His Spirit! Not by might nor by power but by the His Spirit says the Lord.
(The Israelites thought they could obtain the promise land by their own strength and by their own skill. The Israelites were to obtain the Promised land the same way we receive salvation…By Faith! in Jesus and FREE of works! We did nothing to obtain salvation and we will do nothing to keep it, just believe! You don’t have to work for it…you just believe it! Believe in what Jesus did for you…HE is the one that did all that was needed on the cross to obtain salvation, deliverance, forgiveness, freedom, victory and every promise, that is yea and amen in Christ Jesus! Amen!)God will not bless your plans…He blesses his will, His plan, His way. If we don’t follow him then we will face defeat as well as stay out of the blessing, provision and favor of God. If we are not doing things his way, then who are we following? Ourselves and our own plans? The devil, his plans? Who is God in your life? Are you your own God? Who is Lord over your heart and mind?
Who do you turn to when you need to make decisions…do you follow your emotions? Do you follow your past experiences? Or do you inquire of the Lord and hear what he has to say. We have to remember that Gods ways are higher. We may think we have it all figured out; how we are going to do things but Gods way may be the opposite, it may not make sense to the human eye or mind but He will give you peace and victory if you follow him and listen to how he wants to do things.
The consequences of following our own plans and understanding will be destructive to everyone and overall our walk with the Lord. We will not be victorious Christians but as they ended in defeat so we will be a people not able to even fight the simplest of battles and not be able to fully see when the enemy is trying to come in and attack.

God is not a God to be mocked. His mercies are great but know that there are consequences to our sin as well. God sees all things and knows the way we walk. He sees the heart and knows our motives. He knows why we do things and why we don’t. If we think we can do wrong and have God bless it because our we think our reasons are justified this is wrong. God always wants us to trust him and do what is right. You deceive yourself if you think sinning to fix a problem is justified. The only thing that is justified in the sight of God is faith in the blood of Jesus! When we believe we don’t sin. When we trust God we give him the authority in our lives to be God and do great and awesome things. When we take things into our own hands we will never see the power of God in our lives and sadly walk in deception and defeat. Achan was not honest with God nor man. Joshua inquired of the Lord after the defeat…it should be the other way around…before the battle. I find myself going through the day at times and haven’t sought God yet. This is foolish. There are many things awaiting us in a day. We have to be ready and prepared rather than side swiped by the enemy. The Lord speaks to him and tells him about the sin in the camp. When we seek God he will speak! He is a living God! He revealed to Joshua that the devoted things were taken. God said you must take it away. Bring it out to the light and bring it before God and man. Then he will walk with you.
This may be a hard word but it is a word from God that is speaking to us today to go back to that place of moving in His strength. Don’t know how? Start by seeking the Lord and spending time with Him. This is real faith in action! God wants to bring deliverance but the confession and acknowledgment of our sin needs to brought before him.
We serve a God full of glory…the King of glory…..If we want to see the Lord move and be glorified in our lives and have victory we must turn from the sin of not seeking him, bring out the hidden things that are accursed before God and believe he is able to fully restore and fulfill the promises of God in our life.October

Living Your Dream…
At 20 years old I was once asked by a beloved friend “what are your dreams and goals in life?” When I was asked this question the most important thing to me at the time was getting the latest shoes and getting to the next best party. I did not have a vision or a dream. I could not see beyond what I was doing or the consequences of it. I am not sure when I stopped dreaming. As a child I had dreams. I think because they never came to pass that I just gave up on them. Just live your life and see how far you can go. This is how I lived without faith. Things are much different now…. As I tread on this never before walked on path, I realize I have many hopes, dreams and expectations, none of which are upon me. My expectations are in Him. I want to live out His dreams for me. Every day I am learning what that is and every day I am surprised by new mercies to equip me. It’s exciting and I do feel like I am that little girl learning how to dance all over again. But I trust the teachers lead and know that in the end it will be an original with beautiful choreography. It will take my breath away as I learn the grace that takes me from one movement to another. I lift my hands in complete surrender and move my feet to the music of his heartbeat. Jesus lead me Lord and I will follow.
When we stop dreaming, it’s like we have stopped breathing. Don’t ever give up on the life that you were designed to live. Don’t let fear hinder you from stepping out and trusting Him whom you don’t know or can’t see. Faith is a beautiful treasure that is worth more than gold and all you need to lead you straight into dreams unimaginable.
The truth is when you are living in Gods will for your life you will feel like you are living a dream…that’s living in the supernatural. This is how we are called to live… outside of the box and beyond our capacity, tapping into something so much bigger than ourselves. It may seem scary at first but once you learn to trust Him who is in control of all things and has your best interest at heart you will soon realize there is nothing to fear and everything to gain. Be encouraged to dream again and allow your heavenly father to build your dreams up again.
Jehovah has appeared to me from far away, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love! On account of this, with loving kindness I have drawn you.
Again, I will build you, and you shall be built again, O virgin of Israel. You will again put on your tambourines and go forth in the dance of those making merry. ~ Jeremiah 31:3-4

A Poem....
I pray that the flame within never grows dim but continues to burn bright so that all may see the light. For the time is short and we are just passing through, let's make each moment count He will be coming back soon.
May the inheritance of being light bearers and lovers of God be passed down no longer lost and afraid but alive and found. No longer lied to that you can never change, it will always be like this day after day but walking with the one who has saved and changed, walking with the one who is the way.
His name is Jesus and that is what He's done for me. Changed my life from despair and poverty to hopeful beauty till eternity. It's then when my faith will be seen and hope will be revealed for we will be shown perfect in the fullness of His glory no longer concealed.
*Till that day let us cease every chance to praise, love, sing and dance in expression of patient gratitude.
